Bio

Dr. Alli Totzke-Hitzeroth, DC, MPP

As a chiropractor with an appreciation for legislation and policy, I have an extensive background in leadership, advocacy, and patient care.

I went to National University of Health Sciences for Chiropractic school, and followed shortly after that with Liberty University to obtain my Master’s in Public Policy. During my time in school, I advised on a number of boards and was involved with the profession at the national level, including being voted National Chair of ACA’s SACA. I have been awarded SACA’s Member of the Year in 2020, for leadership during the COVID-pandemic, and a number of scholarship awards. Of particular note include NBCE’s Annual Scholarship (2020), and Standard Process’s Annual Scholarship (2021), recognizing my academic and professional excellence.

I have worked in hospitals, pharmacies, research positions, and small practices. I have worked as an educator, as an adjunct professor with South University. I prioritize quality, individualized patient care in my time practicing at Montpelier Family Chiropractic. I have spoken at a number of conferences as a general speaker, panelist, and strategic planning member. I particularly enjoy working in professional development settings where I can match individuals with pathways that align with their goals, and aid in connecting other incredible chiropractors.

Within my state of Virginia, I have been involved with their Public Relations committee, and have been invited to their strategic planning meetings as early as my first year in practice. I have remained involved in Medicare advocacy, garnering support from our state cosponsors as well as aiding in other state’s cosponsorship as a regional manager within the ACA’s legislative committee. Looking more global, I serve as the World Federation of Chiropractic’s Public Health Committee liaison for the United States/North America region. I have also served in roles with the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, National Science Policy Network, Women’s Public Leadership Network, and ChiroCongress’s Strategic Planning work in the Intraprofessional Committee.

My leadership experience is unparalleled for this nomination for board of governors, as I have continued to strive for excellent leadership and guidance to propel other leaders to be the best of their own potential. I have worked with groups such as New American Leaders to further educate and identify young public policy leaders to prepare them for leadership roles at any level. This, among my many other leadership roles, prepares me well to facilitate further growth of the ACA at this time.
