On Nov. 15, 2019, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2020 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) final rule, which included payment reductions in 2021 that would negatively impact chiropractors and other healthcare providers. In response, ACA joined a coalition of like-minded associations and organizations alarmed by the proposed PFS cuts. The group met with CMS directly to express these shared concerns and
organized a letter, signed by 99 Members of Congress, requesting an explanation from CMS Administrator Seema Verma. On Feb. 10, the group also sent a
letter to CMS, urging more egalitarian solutions and alternatives to the proposed reimbursement cuts. ACA will continue to fight the projected cuts on behalf of members and their patients.
