Bio

I have been in either part-time or full-time private practice since graduating from Logan in January, 1976. I have practiced in three states, California, Florida and Missouri. During this time, I taught at three chiropractic colleges, Palmer-West, Logan and Life-West. Life-West I was an adjunct teacher and at Palmer-West and Logan I was/am full time and currently hold the rank of Associate Professor. My undergraduate studies were at University of Missouri-St. Louis, with an major of astrophysics and mathematics. I, also have been active in chiropractic organizations, being a member of the Board of Directors of the California Chiropractic Association, President of the Santa Clara County Chiropractic Society, President of District 1 of the Missouri State Chiropractors Association (MSCA), President of the MSCA and currently on the Board of Directors of the MSCA. I am the President of the Association for the History of Chiropractic (AHC) and have served on the Board of Directors of the AHC for 11 years. I am also the President of the Faculty American Chiropractic Association (FACA). I hold two Masters of Science, one in Nutrition and Human Performance and one in the Conservative Management of Scoliosis. I have also been active with the United States Swimming, hold positions as Safety Chair of Pacific Swimming (a part of USS) and a member of its Sports Medicine Network since 1986. I was also a Qualified Medical Evaluator & Disability Evaluator in the California Worker's Compensation System, before moving to St. Louis to teach at Logan.
I have 2 children, 2 step-children and 10 grandchildren. These are located on both Coasts and in St. Louis.
I am currently involved in research in Chiropractic Pediatrics and Logan Basic Technique. I have contributed chapters in Chiropractic Pediatrics, 2nd ed. by Anrig & Plaugher, Conservative Management of Sports Injuries, 2nd ed. by Hyde & Gengenbach, co-editor of the Textbook of Logan Basic Methods, 4th ed., and Editor of the History of Sports Chiropractic, by Stephen Press. I am currently finishing writing the 5th edition of the Textbook of Logan Basic Methods. I have also written numberous historical articles, published in Chiropractic History, the Journal of the AHC.
